At the intersection of sacred Assyrian chants (from present-day Syria) and medieval compositions from the Iberian Peninsula dating back to the 3rd century AD, the ancient music concert "Carmina Nisibena" offers a truly unique experience. Vocalist Lamia Yared will be joined by Efrén Lopez Sanz (hurdy-gurdy, oud, and chifonie), a renowned guest artist from Spain, along with Ziya Tabassian (percussion), Marie-Laurence Primeau (viola da gamba), and Nizar Tabcharani (qanun).

"Carmina Nisibena" promises an immersive auditory journey, blending "maqam-ized" melodies arranged by Efrén Lopez Sanz, Syriac hymns by Saint Ephrem, and Cantigas de Santa Maria.

Presented by Festival Accès Asie, le Gesù-Centre de créativité and Lamia Yared. Duration of the show: 75 min without intermission.
